Brooches Galore~!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all those who were there to support me during the NTU event last week. It was yet another great experience for me, and a stepping stone to my greater plan in future. And of course, I have gotten to know some really friendly people... Thanks.... =) I have yet to upload the photos of some of the unsold items during the NTU bazaar which I will try to asap, but here are some of my new collections - Brooches~! This is in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya, which my Malay colleague has requested for me to make some for her. Hope you will like them. I wanted something simple, and I love the glass beads when I saw them. It has little "cracks and bubbles" in them, creating a very interesting look in them. And their clear light blue color brings out the details in them even better.
Separated by blue or green crystal spacers, you may choose which one you prefer....

This one mainly plays with the texture of the beads - acrylic and faux metal balls....
Made with contrasting red and brown, and with a hanging oriental charm, this brings out a nice traditional yet not overwhelming feeling for this whole piece..

This is one of my favourite piece~! Made of a large butterfly charm, yellow clay flowers and soft blue beads, this one gives me a feeling of spring - where flower blooms and butterflies dance around the garden.
This one oozes sweetness, and can be used on your jacket, clothes or bags as well...

Made of blue glass and red contrasting crystal spacers, together with the effect of hanging chains, this is an attention grabbing piece. When my colleague first saw this, her first reaction was that this piece is really nice! =)

If you have been following My Jewellery Case since its first post, you will realise that this is the first time that beaded flowers appear on this website... I was very satisfied with the end product when I first made this. Thanks to the shopkeeper from the supplies store for this valuable advice, voila~ The below are the end products...

All this flower brooches are hand made with wiring techniques and seed beads, and you may choose to have them in any colors as they are not pre-made. However, if you happen to choose a color that I don't have any beads on hand, I'll need your kind understanding to give me a few days to make a trip to the supplies store to buy the beads and to make the item....

Oh yes, you can even request to use swarovski crystals instead at a nominal fee...

This is a 8-petal flower brooch which I really liked. My mum wanted me to make them into clip on earrings for her (which will look big on the ears, but she likes things big and bold), and my father was telling me that I should make it into a hair clip.
All these are possible ways, just let me know and I am sure we'll be able to work something out for you..

This is similar to ER7017 Rose Garden, which was sold out earlier at the NTU Bazaar.
However, this is slightly larger in size, and consists of a single red clay rose and a single leaf.
If you had notice, this is the 4th rose series that I have, and they are usually sold very fast..
This can be made into brooches, rings, ear studs upon request.

Gearing Up For the NTU event..

More updates for this week... It's great that I am not working for the whole of this week due to plant shut down, and this extra week gave me the luxury of time to work on my hobby - jewellery making, and at the same time, gearing up for the 3 days event @ NTU (15 - 17 Aug 2007)

At the NTU bazaar, I will be selling facial masks as well at a lower than market price for the standard box, and also, I will be selling them by per piece. I was tired of having to buy a box of masks and then only to find that they are not suitable for me. Thus, I came up with the idea of selling them individually for the good of everyone.. For a start, I'll be starting with Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Masks / Neutrogena Whitening Masks / Loreal White Perfect Masks.
PS: The Neutrogena ones are my favourite, and also Laneige's strawberry masks...

This necklace is aptly named as "In The Mood For Love" due to the various related charms. Centering around the main heart charm are the below - Cute ol' Cupid, a mini lock, accompanied by a mini key.... And there is the Swarovski heart along the chain, which can be adjusted accordingly along the chain. You may place it high up against your collar bone, or place it just right on top of the main heart....

This is really a design that I am proud of. It has a really majestic feel, due to the blend of multicoated Swarovskis and gold....

Faux pearls encapsulated by gold floral end caps, framed with gold chains, and the intricate corners are filled with 4mm deep blue Swarovskis, and finally end of with a matching Swarovski teardrop.

I have attached two photos of this against different background so as to show out the shine of the crystals better...

My bf was the one who choose these light green handpainted beads during our latest visit to the supplies store. He was rather insistent that I should get these cuz he felt that they were really nice and girly.

To match these hand painted beads, transparent Swarovski crystals were used and each side was topped off with a flat teardrop bead and multiply hanging chains......
